DESCRIPTION
The spectacular "Moon" by Nicolas Meriel is part of the 365 flowers from the Flamboyant Collection.
 
Born in Helsinki and raised in Sweden, Germany, and France, Mériel has been exposed to various cultures, languages, and ways of life. This multicultural background has likely fostered his ability to adapt to new environments and appreciate different perspectives.
 
Currently residing in Barcelona, Mériel continues to embrace the diversity of his surroundings, adding to his already well-rounded worldview. He studied computational linguistics and has a Master f Arts from the University of Manchester. In 2014, he embarked on the Flamboyant Flowers project, a creative endeavor that would later lead to the publication of the 365 calendar ( A flower a day ) in 2020.
 
This project aimed to capture the beauty and vibrancy of flowers through a series of stunning photographs. Each day, a different flower was meticulously selected, photographed, and curated to create a visual masterpiece. The result was a breathtaking calendar that showcased the diverse range of colors, shapes, and textures that flowers possess. This project celebrated the floral world and reminded us of the beauty surrounding us daily. As well as the 100-Postcards “Blooming Book” (2012) – both with Seltmann Publishers, Berlin.
 
Nicolas speaks five languages, practices archetypal astrology, and is interested in revealing the veritable spiritual nature, ethereal beauty, and enlightenment of flowers.
