MISSION

Our mission is to elevate artists by providing a dynamic platform that opens doors to fame, financial rewards, unparalleled exposure, and valuable connections within the international art market.

From all submissions, 100 outstanding artworks will be selected as finalists. These finalists will not only be showcased in the prestigious final exhibition but will also compete for six exclusive prizes:

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

The Toolip Art Contest 2025 is open to everyone —

Whether you’re an emerging artist, an established professional, or part of a creative collective, we welcome participants from all countries and all backgrounds.

TYPOLOGY OF WORKS

We welcome all types of artworks, including digital art.

✔️ Guidelines:

  • Maximum dimensions: 160 cm (height) × 130 cm (width)

  • Each submission must include a high-quality image or video, accompanied by a detailed description

  • All artworks must be:

    • Available for the final exhibition

    • For sale during the event

    • The property of the artist

DATES AND DEADLINES

  • July 22th: Application deadline

  • July 29th: Announcement of the 100 finalists

  • August 17th: Deadline for Delivery of Physical Artworks in Vienna

  • August 22th: Notification of the 6 winners of the contest at the opening of the final exhibition of the 100 finalists

The registration must be done online at:

Once the registration has been successfully completed and paid for, the artwork will be listed on the website as " Artists in competition" in the next 48 hours https://www.toolipartgallery.com/artists-in-competition

JURY SELECTION PROCESS

The jury will consist of renowned professionals from the international art industry, bringing their expertise and insight to the selection process.

  • The jury will carefully select 100 finalist artists whose works will be featured in the final exhibition.

  • The identities of the jury members will be officially revealed during the Final Exhibition and Awards Ceremony on August 22nd, 2025.

WINNERS SELECTION PROCESS

From the 100 finalist artists featured in the exhibition, the jury will select:

  • Top 3 Overall Winners

  • Best Painting/Drawing

  • Best Photography

  • Best Sculpture/Installation

The three main winners will be announced during the inauguration of the 100 Finalists Exhibition on August 22nd, 2025.

Please Note:

  • The jury's decision is final and irrevocable. In the event of any issue with a selected piece, the prize will automatically be awarded to the next eligible artist.

  • The official opening date and the closing date of the exhibition will be published on our website:
    www.toolipartgallery.com — before the application deadline.

Selected artists will be contacted shortly after the subscription deadline for:

  • Preparing and submitting materials for the Collector’s Limited Edition Book

  • Coordinating the shipment of artworks for the final exhibition

 

WINNERS EVALUATION PROCESS

Winners will be determined based on the overall rating of their artwork, as evaluated by both the jury and the hosting gallery.

Rating Scale:

  • The scoring system ranges from 1 to 10 points.

  • The final score is calculated using the following ratio:

    • ¾ of the total score comes from the jury

    • ¼ of the total score comes from the gallery

How It Works:

  1. Each juror will rate each artwork on a scale of 1 to 10.

  2. The average score from all jurors will represent 75% (¾) of the final score.

  3. The gallery will also assign a score from 1 to 10, contributing the remaining 25% (¼) of the total score.

CASH PRIZE PAYMENT PROCESS

The cash prize winners for the Top 3 positions will be officially announced during the inauguration of the exhibition. Each winner will receive an Award Certificate detailing:

  • The prize amount

  • The winner’s contact information

  • The terms of payment

How the Payment Process Works:

  1. The Award Certificate will be sent to winners via email.

  2. Winners must sign the certificate and return it via email to the Toolip Art Gallery.

  3. Once the signed certificate is received, the cash prize will be processed within 30 days.

FINAL EXHIBITION DETAILS

The Final Exhibition featuring the 100 finalists will be held at the Toolip Art Gallery in Vienna from August 22nd to September 19th, 2025.

The exhibition will be organized and curated by the Toolip Art Gallery team, who will independently determine the set-up and arrangement of artworks based on the gallery space and the nature of each piece.

Artwork Sales:

  • All exhibited artworks will be available for sale during the exhibition.

  • The gallery reserves the right to promote and sell the artworks for up to 3 months after the exhibition concludes.

  • A 40% commission will be applied to each sale.

Artist Responsibility:

  • By registering, artists accept full responsibility for any theft, loss, or damage to their works throughout the entire competition period, including during delivery.

  • The Toolip Art Gallery commits to handling all artworks with the utmost care, especially those of the winning artists.

Exhibition Access & Opening Event:

  • The exhibition will be open to the public from the inauguration day and will follow the gallery’s regular opening hours throughout its duration.

  • The opening event will be a vibrant celebration, attended by collectors, press, art professionals, art lovers, as well as the winners and jury members. Guests will enjoy a lively atmosphere, complete with drinks and entertainment.

  • Please note:

    • Registration requests sent via postal mail or email will not be accepted.

    • Before submitting your registration, you must select a payment method for the entry fee.

    • Once submitted, your registration will remain in a pending status until the payment is successfully completed.

    • After submission, the registration details cannot be modified.

SUBMISSION FEES

The administration fee varies based on the number of artworks submitted — the more pieces you present, the greater your chances of winning!

1 artwork: 50 € - 2 artworks: 90 € - 3 artworks: 120 € - 4 artworks: 150 € - 5 artworks: 160 € - 6 artworks: 180 €

AVAILABLE PAYMENT METHODS

You can complete your payment securely via credit card or PayPal at the end of the online registration form.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

​

Pictures:

Pictures are loaded automatically through the registration form on the official website for the next 48 hours.

Pictures can be uploaded in the following formats: jpg or gif. Max 10 MB (we recommend gif to have a better perspective of the works)

​

Videos:

It is required to send a (still) video frame for preview in the following formats: jpg or gif.

The video has to be uploaded on vimeo.com

The system provides automatic resizing of frames for presentation in the preview pages.

 

​CATALOGUE

​The winning artists must submit the following documents to allow the printing of the book in time for the opening day:

  • High-resolution pictures of the winning work in jpg or png format.

  • Price of the artwork, incl.VAT

DELIVERY AND RETURN OF ARTWORKS

Artists are responsible for the delivery and return of their selected works for the exhibition.

  • Specific instructions for delivery and return will be communicated individually between the selected artists and the Toolip Art Gallery staff once the vote results are announced.

  • All artworks must be adequately packaged to ensure safe transport.

Installation arrangements:

  • Any special requirements or arrangements for the installation of artworks will be handled on a case-by-case basis between the Toolip Art Gallery staff and the artists.

COPYRIGHT AND PERSONAL DATA PROCESSING

By completing the subscription form on the official website www.toolipartgallery.com, the artist agrees to the terms and conditions outlined in this notice, including all its provisions.

The artist grants Toolip Art Gallery permission to process their personal data in compliance with European Union law (EU 2016/679) and its subsequent amendments.

Personal Data and Images:

  • The personal data and images submitted will be used solely for purposes related to the Toolip Art Contest.

  • Toolip Art Gallery will not sell or publish the artists' data or images for commercial purposes.

Artist Responsibility:

  • Artists are fully responsible for the content of the images, text, or other materials submitted for publication on the competition website and in the Collector’s Edition Book.

  • The Toolip Art Gallery reserves the right to remove any content deemed inappropriate for the competition. If an artist wishes to contest this decision, a written request may be submitted for review.
